HOW LONG DO THE LASHES LAST?
THE BOOSTING AND LIFTING EFFECT LASTS FOR 8 TO 12 WEEKS, WHICH IS THE NATURAL LIFE CYCLE OF THE EYELASH. THE TREATMENT ALSO INVOLVES THE APPLICATION OF COENZYMEQ10 GEL PADS TO THE UNDER-EYE AREA, WHICH HAVE ANTI-AGING PROPERTIES.
HOW LONG IS ONE LASH LIFT TREATMENT?
THE TREATMENT TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR AND IS VERY COMFORTABLE FOR THE CLIENT.
IS THE TREATMENT HARMFUL TO MY NATURAL LASHES?
NO. THERE ARE NO FALSE LASHES ATTACHED OR ANY HARMFUL ADHESIVES USED. THIS INNOVATIVE TREATMENT WORKS BY BOOSTING AND LIFTING EACH INDIVIDUAL LASH. YUMI LASHES LAST AS LONG AS YOUR NATURAL EYELASH CYCLE AND THEY GENTLY DROP AS YOUR OWN EYELASHES NATURALLY SHED, THUS CAUSING NO DAMAGE TO YOUR LASHES.
WHAT IF MY LASHES ARE TOO SHORT?
SECRETLY STUNNING RECOMMENDS USING A LASH GROWTH SERUM FOR 1 MONTH BEFORE THE TREATMENT FOR OPTIMAL RESULTS.
HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY YUMI LASHES?
THERE IS NO SPECIAL MAINTENANCE INVOLVED WITH YUMI LASHES. WE DO HOWEVER RECOMMEND USING THE SECRETLY STUNNING KERATIN MASCARA T HOME FOR STRONGER HEALTHIER LASHES, IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY GLOSS THAT PROTECTS AND NOURISHES YOUR LASHES.
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE TREATMENT?
WE ASK YOU COME WITH NO EYE MAKEUP ON - THE CLEANER THE LASHES, THE BETTER THE LIFT. WE WILL ALSO ASK YOU TO REMOVE CONTACT LENSES BUT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PUT THEM BACK IN IMMEDIATELY AFTER. THE TREATMENT IS TOTALLY PAINLESS. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO KEEP YOUR EYES CLOSED. FEEL FREE TO TAKE A NAP - AND BE READY TO SPEND BETWEEN AND HOUR AND AN HOUR AND A HALF GETTING THE PROCEDURE DONE.
YOU ALSO CAN’T GET YOUR LASHES WET OR PUT ON ANY EYE MAKEUP FOR 48 HOURS AFTER, SO IT’S BEST TO COME WITH CLEAN HAIR, SO YOU CAN AVOID WASHING YOUR HAIR (AND THUS AVOID WATER ON THE EYES) FOR THE NEXT TWO DAYS, AND PLAN AROUND ANY EVENTS WHERE YOU’D WANT TO WEAR EYE MAKEUP.
No need for mascara. Lash tinting lasts approximately 4 weeks, by tinting your lashes more often you will achieve the best results because with each application the color will penetrate deeper leaving them intensely covered. Our tints are very gentle and are vegan!
A complimentary consultation is recommended before any lash extension application where style and price are discussed, and if you are a candidate then a complimentary glue test can be done. This consists of placing a few lash extensions on the outer corners of each eye to ensure there is no reaction and after 24 hours, you may schedule your application. We will work with you to find the best style that compliments you and your lifestyle.
Falsie Cluster Lash Extensions
Individual cluster lash extensions are applied in different
lengths using your eye shape and natural lashes as a guide.
The Falsies last up to 2 weeks and are perfect for an event.
B E F O R E C A R E:
Arrive with zero eye make-up, this includes any face make-up around the eyes as well.
It is recommended to wash your hair prior to your appointment because lashes can not get wet for 48 hours after.
Try to refrain from using mascara for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Eyelash Extensions need to be removed at least 3 days to 1 week prior to treatment.
The cleaner your lashes are, the more effective the solution is at penetrating the lashes.
Contacts will need to be removed for the process, as your eyes remain closed for up to 1 hour.
*If you have very short, damaged or brittle lashes you CAN still get a Lash Lift. However, we recommend taking a daily biotin supplement AND using a lash serum for at least 4-6 weeks before. You can also take collagen supplements and apply castor oil to your lashes nightly. You will be much happier to enjoy your Lash Lift if you start with a healthy set of natural lashes.
A F T E R C A R E:
Lashes must be kept dry for 48 hours. No steam, excessive sweat, tears or eye make-up allowed.
Since the lashes are still malleable for the first 24-48 hours, it is recommended to sleep on your back for the first 2 nights to avoid re-positioning the lashes during sleep.
Refrain from using waterproof mascara, as it is very dehydrating and can cause brittleness and premature lash loss.
No lash serums, eye creams, or lash extensions for 48 hours.
Use Secretly Stunning oil-free make-up remover wipes for after treatment cleansing.
*As with any lash service, keeping the hair strong and supplemented is vital to the overall health of your lashes. Biotin, lash serums, collagen supplements and lash conditioners should definitely be considered when maintaining the integrity of your lashes.
You will be given a brush to take home, you can brush out your lashes to avoid kinks or frizziness that can occur during the grow out phase.
B E F O R E C A R E:
Avoid waterproof mascara 2-3 days before your first appointment. The film it leaves on your lashes may prevent the extensions from adhering correctly.
Arrive to your appointment with dry, clean lashes and makeup-free eyes.
Remove contact lenses before your appointment.
Avoid caffeine, as this can cause fluttering and twitching of the eye which could lead to burning and discomfort from the adhesive.
Be prepared to lie down on your back with your eyes very still for 2 hours for the first appointment.
A F T E R C A R E:
24-48 Hours After Your Appointment:
Do not get your lashes wet for 24 hours after the lash extensions are applied. It will effect the efficacy of the adhesive.
Avoid steam from showers, facials, saunas and swimming pools.
Avoid getting moisture around the eye area when washing face, showering etc.
Avoid tanning beds for 48 hours after application.
General Guidelines To Lash Extensions:
Avoid using oil-based skin care and make-up products around the eye.
Do not use waterpoof mascara, it is better not to use any mascara, and you may find you do not need it!
(Latisse is OK to use)
Wash around the eye area with the recommended Lash Love cleanser, using a small brush even if you are not wearing makeup. Natural oils produced in the skin can affect the adhesive, so it needs to be cleansed daily.
Avoid rubbing your eyes or lashes, especially when washing your face. It is recommended to clean around the eye area with a washcloth or cotton swab.
Do not use an eyelash curler - it will pull off the lashes. If you feel like you want more curl, we can offer you an option, please talk with your technician when you come in.
It is recommended to sleep on your back to avoid the risk of your lashes rubbing against your pillow.
Gently brush your lashes with a clean mascara wand to groom them - once or twice a day is sufficient, do not over brush. The best time to do this is after showering, as they will be softer and less likely to damage.
Never trim your eyelashes. If you want them shorter, let your technician know at your next appointment.
Avoid pulling your lashes, and do not attempt to remove them yourself. If you would like them removed please contact us.
Spray tans and most eyeliners should be okay to use, except for gel pot liners which tend to be oily.
No cotton balls may be used around the lashes.
If you choose to use products outside those recommended by your lash specialist, you do so at your own risk.
